Health & Safety Files
Health and Safety Files are the means by which health and safety information is recorded and kept for future use at the end of a construction project.
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 require that the file includes adequate information about any aspect of the structure or materials used which might affect the health or safety of anyone carrying out construction or cleaning work or of anyone who may be affected by such work. We have been preparing hard & electronic copies of health and safety files since the enactment of the Regulations.
On the back of this we are now advising where practical that end user documentation for construction projects be produced electronically, with any requisite hard copies [i.e. one for site] being accommodated as necessary. With our sister company Knowledge On-Line we have developed a service that can deliver hard and electronic copies of the health and safety file and its associated operation and maintenance manuals as a turnkey solution.
