CDM Training
Getting to grips with CDM legislation is hard; its interpretation can be even harder. The law puts great emphasis on the need for CDM training. It is therefore all the more important that time devoted to training is both rewarding and cost effective. pcm have developed a core of CDM training and seminar services delivered by hands-on professionals. Courses can be tailored to meet any specific requirements.
What are our Courses About?
With a background of rising fatalities in the Construction Industry, the revised Approved Code of Practice now places a much greater responsibility on clients for the management of health and safety throughout their projects.
Our courses provide clearer guidance on all duty holder roles, the purpose and content of CDM documents; and what constitutes effective risk management in design. Particular emphasis is give to both clients and designers, especially in the early design phases.
Who Would Benefit From CDM Training?
Anyone involved with construction work and who wishes to further their understanding of the roles and responsibilities defined in the CDM Regulations. Or those who wish to revisit their initial training and understanding of the Regulations.
We also provide specialist focus sessions for clients and designers with lots of practical examples; drawing on expert witness skills and significant intervention with the Health & Safety Executive experience of enforcement policy.
Certification
Understanding of course material is evaluated by means of a written assessment paper.
Successful completion of the programme results in the award of a CDM Regulations Certificate.
Our courses are delivered by industry professionals. You choose the date, the venue, the content and even the training provided. Typical numbers for our courses are between 2 - 15 delegates, but we have fulfilled obligations for the training of large multi national organisations such as BDP.
